eCommerce Site + CMS
My role on this project was multi-faceted due to lack of staff. I served as lead designer and created the vision for the for future of the both ecommerce site and the administrative application. I wrote the front-end Jira ticket requirements, created click-through prototypes, and involved stakeholders in the inaugural design reviews. I also helped to code the front end HTML framework and implemented a full SASS file strategy so that the base code and customizations can peacefully co-exist. I was also instrumental in developing a graceful migration strategy for existing sites.

Research
Researched legacy systems, log complaints, documented bugs, precedence study, current customer installations, customer feedback, and customer requested enhancements.

Problem
Our e-commerce sites looked very outdated, the process to update base code was extremely difficult, and web-related setup was fragmented throughout the application. The sites were not mobile friendly nor accessible. Site customizations were very rigid and prevented software updates for the core code.

Solution
I redesigned the e-commerce sites with a modern look using protected page sections for the base code while allowing customizations in designated areas. I designed a new CMS for the administrators to easily be able to update customized sections without knowing how to code. We created a new map-style interface with clickable page sections that include color pickers, font options, and layouts.
